Scope of Work:

Provided extensive value engineering design of fire alarm system to allow project to meet budget considerations. This project was for a new community hospital located in Grants Pass, Oregon. Work entailed the following aspects:

  1. Interface to HVAC systems for proper shutdown of systems as required by applicable codes, and to provide smoke containment.
  2. Minimize code required duct smoke detectors for fire/smoke dampers and HVAC systems with proper application of area/space detection as allowed by code
  3. Provide ADA compliance for visual notification devices in “common” areas, yet minimizing negative impact of strobes in patient areas.
Status: Complete (work performed during previous tenure as vendor representative)
